How the Cameo can help your business grow
Equipment breaks. Baristas move on to other jobs. And business owners are left the costs associated with both. Fortunately, opting for a super-automatic machine such as an Eversys Cameo can safeguard your business from these concerns--it's what we hear from our clients and what we want to tell you. shit happens.
Staffing & Training Expenses
Hiring new baristas is a costly endeavor. Beyond hourly wages, the amount of overhead, inventory, and additional labor involved in training new employees adds up.
Super-automatic espresso machines reduce or eliminate the need for intensive training periods, effectively expediting an employee’s trajectory onto the bar and reducing overall training expenses.
The fully automatic nature of an Eversys Cameo espresso machine is also changing what it means to be a barista. Rather than spending 8+ hours a day fine-tuning an espresso recipe and churning out drink after drink, baristas can focus on:
- Creating a memorable experience for customers
- Converting first-time visitors into daily regulars
- Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of customer orders
- Completing internal tasks such as cleaning and stocking inventory
In summary the Cameo espresso machine remedies a multitude of workforce concerns for business owners, including:
- Quicker barista training — Instead of spending months training new baristas to operate the espresso machine and brewing principles, the Eversys super auto makes it easy for new employees to start making drinks on day one.
- Reduced manual labor — Between standing for multiple hours a day to joint pain from repetitive espresso tamping, baristas’ bodies are under a great deal of stress. With a super-automatic espresso machine, baristas experience a virtually hands-free brewing process and reduced daily fatigue.
Promoting Espresso Flavor
At the end of the day, every new coffee shop is only successful if its coffee tastes great.
Traditional espresso machines may offer customers an artisanal coffee experience, but do not guarantee consistency. This approach relies on the sensory skills and experience of the barista, meaning the taste of your shop’s espresso may vary based on who calibrated it on that day.
Instead, assign your most senior barista to enter espresso parameters into the Cameo and the machine will produce a consistent espresso all day long. This functionality also promotes creativity among your staff by encouraging them to create new and exciting espresso recipes.
Modular Design Means Ultimate Efficiency and Savings
Eversys espresso machines feature a modular design. This strategic decision allows for rapid access to various parts of the machine for replacement, reducing the amount of time the machine is down for maintenance.
Cameo modules include:
- Brewing unit — Able to hold up to 24 grams of coffee grounds per beverage, the brewing unit enables baristas to program a variety of brewing recipes.
- Grinder module — Eversys espresso machines contain two grinders within the module, giving baristas the ability to program two recipes at once. For coffee shops offering half-caf drinks, baristas can also dose grounds from both grinders with one of the grinders containing decaf beans.
- Milk module — Expertly frothed milk is produced and dispensed in either the 1, 1.5, or 2-step programme.
- Steam/water unit — Steam produced with constant pressure and temperature is imperative to proper espresso brewing. This module ensures a precise temperature, regardless of coffee shop volume.
- Hydraulic module — This module dedicates a single boiler for coffee extraction, ensuring that temperature remains stable for top-tier productivity all day long.
Routine Maintenance
Here’s how it works: Eversys offer’s specific cleaning fluid and solids that are added to the machine at the end of each day. With a press of a button, the machine does the rest with its automatic cleaning cycle.
The cleaning products themselves are available from Eversys Website. The Milk Line Cleaning Liquid retails for $45.00, 1L bottle, 33 dosages, 30mL per screen, per day. The Coffee Cleaning Balls retails for $50.00, 62 balls, 80 cents per day, per group head. Eversys also offers a year supply of both the milk and espresso solutions for $750.00.
Especially for Milk models, daily cleaning is vital to avoiding build up and clogs that could warrant a technician intervention or more serious damage.
Understanding Milk Options
Pro’s + Con’s:
The advancements in the Automatic Milk functions of the (m) models are among the best on the market. It provides the convenience of hands-free beverage creation, but it comes with a few caveats we want business owners to be aware of.
From our service experience, any (m) models required bi-monthly maintenance visits to address a common issue of milk line clogs. Due to milk's molecular structure, even daily cleaning can not wholly prevent the eventual need for professional intervention.
From a beverage quality standpoint, the automatic milk dispensing option may not perfectly match some unique customer preferences. If serving a clientele with atypical preferences like an extra dry, iced cortado then the 2 step Programme (standard on all eversys machines) is the best option for you.
What do steps mean?
1 step milk references milk being internally heated, aerated and dispensed into the beverage cup via the milk nozzle (located behind the coffee nozzle). Since the espresso is dispensed at precisely the right time in conjunction with the milk, this makes the process only 1 step for a completed beverage that’s ready to serve.
1.5 step milk references the use of the Everfoam wand, which will require a second vessel, a milk pitcher, to receive the heated, aerated, and completely texture milk once it dispenses from the wand. The 0.5 step refers to the human input needed to actually arrange the beverage by combining the steamed milk with the extracted espresso. This is where Latte Art can be created using this pre-textured milk.
2-Step Programme: Available on all Cameo models the Eversys Everfoam steam wand presents you with 3 different ways to achieve your desired milk texture: The first, is to manually steam and aerate the milk; The second, is to aerate and steam the milk with the support of a temperature probe, making the wand stop when it has completed its job at the correct temperature; The third and final option, is to leave a milk pitcher underneath the steam arm, and at the press of a button the machine will do all of the work for you.
There are additional options that can be combined with 1 or 1.5 step milk programs on both the Classic and Super Traditional models. They are indicated in the “m” and “s” in the product names. (The C2s/Super Traditional - The C2ms/Classic)
E'connect
E'Connect gives businesses and baristas accurate and actionable data to make better decisions and, most importantly, better coffee.
For Business owners this system allows you to manage your machine specs, track data and remotely control machine parameters from anywhere in the world (with wifi).
For barista's, this system opens a new space for creativity through controlled and dependable brewing parameters. Leaving more time for creativity and innovation in the art of beverage crafting.
For service technicians, this system allows remote diagnostics to the five mechanical modules that make up the Cameo Machine. This means that when a part breaks, the machine identifies the issue and sends that information to the technician. The technician can bring a new module to the machine and quickly swap out the functional unit.
This drastically reduces the typical service time of espresso machines, which can take days or weeks to identify the problem, let alone fix.
Understanding Fridge Configuration
There’s an array of accessories offered by Eversys to build your coffee bar out to your exact needs. Note that these accessories are designed for streamline compatibility for the Cameo Classic Model. At the end of this section a compatibility breakdown table is provided.
(M)ilk Fridges - if you’re interested in any automatic milk options for the Cameo. You will need a fridge to house your milks. Lucky Eversys has designed vertical and horizontal options to fit whatever your space needs may be.
The C’Fridge Beneath is a 11 liter milk fridge that is stacked vertically under the machine and it raises the total height by 8 inches. Inside, there’s two options for Milk Containers: 1 milk type container (5.5 L) and a 2 milk types container (2 x 2 L) option.
The second option is the C’Fridge Beside (right) which sits flush on the side of the machine, extending that streamline look of the build by 11 inches. The internal fridge is 13 liters, hosting two options for Milk Containers: 1 milk type container ( 9 L ) and a 2 milk types container ( 2 x 4.5 L) option. The Beside has an additional function of storing 24 espresso mugs on top, this bodes well for those looking to add additional cup storage without sacrificing the space for it.

We recommend the Cameo for those who are either tight on space or staff or both.
